OPENING OF THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM ENTITLED “COOPERATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.GREEN. DIGITAL. SMART.”
In the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, the city of Dushanbe, on April 14, 2026, the International Forum entitled “Cooperation for Sustainable Development. Green.Digital. Smart.” was officially opened with the participation of a wide range of representatives of government structures, scientific institutions, and foreign partners.
The opening ceremony of the Forum was attended by the leadership of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Social Development and Public Relations, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, a representative of the Executive Body of State Authority of the city of Dushanbe, as well as representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps, rectors of higher professional education institutions from within the country and abroad, representatives of ministries and agencies, the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, and foreign guests.
The Forum commenced with the opening remarks of the Rector of the University, Professor Asrorzoda Ubaidullo Sattor. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for supporting the University’s initiative to organize such an important international event and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, the “green” economy, digitalization, and the implementation of smart technologies. At the same time, he welcomed the foreign guests to the paradise-like Tajikistan and noted that the holding of the Forum constitutes an important basis for strengthening international relations.
Subsequently, speeches were delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan Parvati Ramaswamy, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Social Development and Public Relations Safarzoda AnvarIslom, Chairperson of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Youth Policy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the MajlisiOli of the Republic of Tajikistan Saidvalizoda Barno Saidnabi, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Hoshimzoda HomidHasan, Chairman of the “Green” Universities of Indonesia Wisnu Juwono, Rector of Khushal Khan Khattak University of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Tahir, Rector of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences of Türkiye Mehmed Saribiyik, President of the Academy of Tourism and International Relations of the Russian Federation Olga Vyacheslavovna Pirogova, and Director of the Asia Pacific Maritime Academy of the Philippines Angelica Bailon, who expressed their views on the role of international cooperation in ensuring sustainable development, implementing national strategic goals, and attracting investment.
It was noted that the Forum, serving as an important platform for the exchange of experience, the presentation of new initiatives, and the implementation of joint projects in the fields of the green economy, digital technologies, and smart governance, will contribute to the expansion of multilateral cooperation among countries.
It is expected that within the framework of the Forum, a number of plenary sessions, panel discussions, and bilateral meetings will be held, during which important issues related to sustainable development will be subjected to comprehensive consideration.
