Introduction of New Members of the Environmental Volunteers Club to the Committee’s Activities
On the eve of the Navruz holiday, a group of new members of the Environmental Volunteers Club, most of whom are students of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, visited the Department of Digitalization and Innovation at the building of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A specialist of this department informed the volunteers about the working procedures and specific features of this department of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Then, in the Committee’s main conference hall, a documentary film dedicated to World Glacier Day, observed on March 21, was shown to the volunteers on a large screen.
In addition, various informational and educational materials were distributed to help the volunteers become more familiar with the topic.
In the final part of the event, short speeches were delivered regarding the Government’s attention to educating the younger generation, developing the eco-volunteer movement, and strengthening environmental activities.
The new members of the Environmental Volunteers Club gained positive impressions and vivid experiences from their visit and acquaintance with the Committee’s activities, and expressed their readiness to participate in the Committee’s environmental events.
