Levakant International Institute Hosts Environmental Camp
On April 20, 2026, the official opening ceremony of the Environmental Camp was held in the conference hall of the State Institution “Levakant International Institute” of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.
It is worth noting that this event has been organized and is being conducted by the initiative of the Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan in cooperation with the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, with the aim of enhancing environmental awareness and engaging young people in environmental protection.
During the opening ceremony, the Rector of the Institute, docent Saidzoda Saidmahmud Saidahmad, and the Director of the Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Professor Sharofzoda Farhod Razzoq, regardless on the importance of raising environmental awareness, involving youth in addressing global environmental challenges, and fostering a “green” mindset gave a speech. They also called upon young people and participants to follow the noble and global initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
Representatives of foreign organizations and international partners also addressed the participants, including Carolyn Upham, Head of the Economic and Environmental Dimension of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, who highlighted the importance of strengthening youth capacity in the field of sustainable development.
The Environmental Camp programme, which will run from April 20 to 24, includes a series of educational activities, practical sessions, and interactive training workshops. In this regard, the State Institution “Levakant International Institute” of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan is proud to serve as a platform for international dialogue.
A Day of Inspiration, Exchange of Ideas, and the Formation of a ‘Green’ Mindset for a Better Future” has become the slogan of the participants of the Environmental Camp, whose second day is being hosted today by the State Institution “Levakant International Institute” of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.
