Environmental Campaign Dedicated to the International Earth Day on the Bokhtar–Dangara Route
On April 22 of the current year, in celebration of the International Earth Day, a joint environmental campaign was conducted through the cooperation of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, and the Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, with the support of the Main Department for Environmental Protection of Khatlon Region.
The campaign, held along the Bokhtar–Dangara highway, was organized under the titles “Clean Local Area” and “Clean Highway”. This event represents a continuation of previous initiatives carried out within the framework of preparations for the достойное celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is worth noting that from April 20 to 24 of the current year, an environmental camp is being held at the International Institute of Levakant, with the participation of active students from the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, as well as other higher education institutions of the country. The organization of such environmental activities and the active participation of eco-camp members contribute, on the one hand, to raising environmental awareness among youth, and on the other hand, demonstrate the students’ contribution to ensuring the country’s environmental safety.
