ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND ENERGY SAVING IN THE SPOTLIGHT
On May 29, 2026, as part of the partnership between the Research Institute of Sustainable Development and Green Economy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan and the European Union Delegation’s project, “Technical Assistance Package for the Sustainable Energy Support Program in Tajikistan,” a meeting was held with the project representatives, university staff, and active students of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, Vladimir Usievich, the project manager and a leading expert in sustainable energy, gave a speech. He introduced the participants to the main goals of the project, sustainable energy initiatives, and activities aimed at improving energy efficiency and promoting responsible use of energy resources in the country.
Special attention was given to the project’s educational and awareness-raising activities. The project representatives presented informational brochures containing practical tips on how to use electricity wisely at home. These materials help increase public awareness of energy-saving methods, the use of energy-efficient household appliances, effective lighting solutions, reducing energy losses, and making better use of energy resources.
At the end of the meeting, a ceremonial award presentation was held for student volunteers who made a valuable contribution to the organization of the International Forum “Cooperation for Sustainable Development: GREEN. DIGITAL. SMART.” Active participants were recognized for their initiative, responsibility, and support in ensuring the successful organization of the event.
Such meetings help strengthen cooperation between the academic community and experts in sustainable development, while also encouraging young people to take part in initiatives that support sustainable energy and the green economy in Tajikistan.
