The State Institution “Scientific Research Institute of Sustainable Development and Green Economy” of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan is a dynamic research platform dedicated to addressing modern challenges in sustainable development and ensuring the ecological balance of the country.
The Institute was established by Decree No. 662 of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 26, 2024, with the primary goal of promoting the country’s economic and ecological sustainability.
MISSION
The Institute’s mission is to promote environmental and economic sustainability through scientific research and the implementation of innovative projects.
GOAL
The Institute’s primary goal is to develop scientific capacity and support policies of sustainable development and green economy in the Republic of Tajikistan. It seeks to address key issues of sustainable development through scientific and applied projects.
OBJECTIVES
– conducting research in the fields of green economy, sustainable development and ecology;
– developing and implementing innovative projects aimed at introducing green technologies;
– providing scientific recommendations for the implementation of state policy in the field of sustainable development;
– promoting the ideas of the green economy through educational programs and public initiatives;
– training highly qualified specialists with in-depth knowledge in sustainable development and green economy;
– organizing international and national scientific conferences, seminars and forums;
– actively collaborating with international partners and participating in global green initiatives.

- Green Energy Research – developing solutions to improve energy efficiency and implement renewable energy sources.
- Green Industry and Circular Economy – exploring models to minimize waste and reuse resources to create closed-loop production systems.
- Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security – conducting research to enhance the sustainability of agricultural systems and ensure national food security.
- Sustainable Development of Service Sectors – finding innovative ways to integrate sustainability into the service sector.
- Environmental Protection and Natural Resource Management – developing strategies for protecting ecosystems and manage natural resources
