
ANNUAL REPORT ON THE SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES OF THE INSTITUTE
On 2 December 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at the State Institution “Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy” of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, at which the annual report on the Institute’s scientific and research activities was reviewed. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Associate Professor Islombek Zoirzoda, and the Head of the Department of Science and Innovation, Professor Nekruz Kudratov.
The meeting was opened by the Director of the Institute, Professor Farhod Sharofzoda, who emphasized the importance of scientific research and the application of its results in the strategic processes of sustainable development of the national economy and in state policy in the field of the green economy.
Subsequently, the Deputy Director for Science and Innovation, Professor Zulfiya Qurbonzoda, presented a detailed annual report on scientific and research activities. The report analyzed key scientific areas, research results, implemented projects, scientific publications, international cooperation, and indicators of the Institute’s scientific capacity development.
In the discussion of the report, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Associate Professor Islombek Zoirzoda, Chief Scientific Researcher Professor Hamid Majidov, Deputy Director for International Relations and Project Management Associate Professor Gulshan Bodurova, as well as the Head of the Department of Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security, Professor Firdavs Arabov, took the floor and provided a comprehensive assessment of various aspects of the Institute’s scientific work.
The speakers noted that in the reporting year the Institute’s scientific and research activities gave a strong impetus to the expansion of sectoral research, the strengthening of scientific potential, the implementation of important innovation projects, the development of practical scientific recommendations, and the enhancement of international cooperation. These achievements create opportunities for the Institute in the coming years to further strengthen its role as an important research center in the field of sustainable development and the green economy.
The meeting also defined strategic tasks in the area of scientific and research activities for 2026, aimed at developing new research projects, strengthening international partnerships, and increasing the Institute’s contribution to the implementation of the state policy on sustainable development.
