ANNUAL REPORT ON THE INSTITUTE’S RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
On 2 December 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at the State Institution “Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy” of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, during which the annual report on research activities was reviewed. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Associate Professor Islombek Zoirzoda, and the Head of the Department for Science and Innovation, Professor Nekruz Qudratov.
The meeting was opened by the Institute’s Director, Professor Farhod Sharofzoda, who emphasized the importance of scientific research and the application of its results in the strategic processes of sustainable development of the national economy and in state policy aimed at the green economy.
Subsequently, the Deputy Director for Science and Innovation, Professor Zulfiya Qurbonzoda, presented a detailed annual report on the Institute’s research activities. The report analyzed key research areas, scientific results, implemented projects, academic publications, international cooperation, and indicators of the Institute’s scientific capacity development.
During the discussion of the report, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Associate Professor Islombek Zoirzoda; the Chief Researcher, Professor Hamid Majidov; the Deputy Director for International Relations and Project Management, Associate Professor Gulshan Bodurova; as well as the Head of the Department of Sustainable Agricultural Development and Food Security, Professor Firdavs Arabov, delivered speeches and provided a detailed review and assessment of various aspects of the Institute’s scientific work.
The speakers noted that the Institute’s research activities during the current year gave a significant impetus to expanding sectoral research, strengthening scientific capacity, implementing major innovative projects, developing practical scientific recommendations, and enhancing international cooperation. These achievements provide an opportunity for the Institute to further strengthen its role in the coming years as an important research center in the field of sustainable development and the green economy.
The meeting also identified strategic research priorities for 2026, aimed at developing new scientific projects, strengthening international cooperation, and increasing the Institute’s contribution to the implementation of the state policy on sustainable development.
