
THE ROLE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN IN ENSURING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN
On 15 November of the current year, the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, on the initiative of the Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy, hosted a roundtable titled “The Role of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ensuring Sustainable Development of the Republic of Tajikistan.” The event was dedicated to the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 33rd anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The roundtable was opened by the Director of the Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Doctor of Economics and Professor Farhod Sharofzoda. On behalf of the University leadership, he warmly congratulated participants on the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and emphasized the historical significance of the XVI Session, as well as the role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in restoring peace, political stability, and sustainable development in the country.
Then, Doctor of Economics and Professor Abdusattor Jabborov, a direct participant of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered remarks highlighting the key role of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in restoring Tajik statehood. He recalled the encouraging words of the President during those extremely difficult moments: “I will bring peace to my Homeland, to my dear people.” It was noted that His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in the most challenging days for the country and the Tajik nation, was able to save beloved Tajikistan from destruction and collapse, bring peace and stability, and lay the foundations for sustainable development.
In his speech, Homidkhon Nuriddinov, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, noted that the achievements of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan are worthy of study and recognition by the Tajik people, especially by young people as the future generation of the state.
Makhfirat Umar Khidirzoda, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, and member of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Republic of Tajikistan, stated in her address that one of the major achievements of the country’s independence is that a genuine, patriotic leader such as Emomali Rahmon took responsibility for state leadership during one of the most difficult periods in the history of the Tajik state. In a short time, he was able to bring Tajikistan to peace, stability, and national unity. The “Tajik peace model,” under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, was described as a model that embodies Tajikistan’s peacebuilding policy and the approach of its leadership.
Doctors of Economics and Professors Faqerov Hamidullokhon Nuriddinovich and Hojimahmad Umarov shared their views on various aspects of the country’s sustainable economic development under the wise leadership of the nation’s distinguished son, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, participants engaged in an exchange of views and academic discussion. They highly assessed the position and contribution of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to strengthening Tajik statehood, ensuring peace and national unity, political stability, and the country’s sustainable development. In particular, the young scholar Vahdat Daykhudoev recited excerpts of his poetry in praise of the achievements, loyalty to the Homeland and the Tajik nation, dedication, and patriotism of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon. He emphasized that the President’s political and statecraft experience is one of the key factors in safeguarding national independence and advancing the modern Tajik state, and that the main task of today’s youth is to strengthen the foundations of state independence.
