Professor Sharofzoda Farhod Razzoq is the Director of the Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, and Professor.
He has more than 20 years of experience in science, education, and strategic management. He is a recognized expert in the fields of sustainable development and green economy, as well as an international specialist in institutional system development within the context of global transformation.
The main areas of Professor Farhod Sharofzoda’s scientific activity include sustainable development and the green transformation of the economy, climate and environmental policy, the digitalization of management and educational processes, international trade, entrepreneurship, and innovative growth models.
In his professional activity, Professor Farhod Sharofzoda shapes the scientific and project agenda of the Institute in accordance with global challenges, paying special attention to the integration of sustainability principles into economic and educational practice, the promotion of green investments, international environmental cooperation, and the development of scientific expertise to support public policy.
He serves as the Chairman of the Dissertation Council for the defense of doctoral and PhD theses in the fields of tourism, marketing and entrepreneurship. Under his academic supervision, 3 doctoral and 8 PhD dissertations have been successfully defended. He is the author of 12 monographs, 5 textbooks and more than 100 scientific articles devoted to issues of sustainable development, digital economy and international business.
He actively participates in international scientific and educational projects and initiative groups. He has served as a coordinator and expert in six international projects related to education modernization, the implementation of green approaches, and the development of digital transformation.
As the Director of the Research Institute for Sustainable Development and Green Economy, Professor Farhod Sharofzoda provides overall leadership in the institutional development, scientific, and project activities of the organization. His work is aimed at strengthening the Institute’s role as a leading scientific center in the fields of green transformation and climate resilience.
The key areas of his professional activity include:
- strategic planning and implementation of priority scientific and applied research in the field of sustainable development and green economy;
- development and coordination of national and international projects, as well as the establishment of partnerships with leading universities and research centers;
- implementation of quality standards in scientific, educational, and analytical activities;
- digitalization of management processes, scientific analytics, and collaboration with external partners;
- development of policy recommendations on environmental, economic, and climate issues for governmental and international institutions;
- promotion of the Institute’s scientific expertise on the international stage and participation in shaping the global sustainable development agenda.
Professor Farhod Sharofzoda combines scientific thinking, international experience, and strategic vision, which enables him to effectively develop the Institute as a center for knowledge generation, sustainable solutions, and international expert dialogue.
For his significant contribution to the development of science and education, he was awarded the Ismoili Somoni Prize for young scientists in the field of science and technology (2007), as well as the honorary title “Excellence in Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan” (2012).
